Pickpocketing

Here are some advice:
- Do not fall for tricks (feigned unconsciousness, illness etc.) by strangers. Thoroughly check any ID produced and verify with the issuer if necessary.
- Never sign anything at your front door without checking it first. Never let yourself be coaxed into anything and insist on time to think it over.
- Never open the door without a door chain or safety latch.
- Do not accept C.O.D. parcels for neighbours without their express permission.
- Avoid dark alleys and secluded parks. Carry your bag over your shoulder and on the side facing away from the road.
- Pay particular attention at stations, shopping centres and other public places.
- Only carry as much cash as you need, distribute amongst various bags or carry on your person.
